Decorate that path

It was late afternoon on a Saturday at a dog park in the south of Jakarta, I was watching Whiskey sniffing literally all of the dogs there. I sat down on the grass and talked to a stranger, and then minutes later he was nowhere in sight. Things got more tense when I saw him out of the fence. I ran after him, and when I was finally near him I didn’t try to catch him. I stopped running and was like,

“Whiiiiiskeeey, come hereeee my good boooy!!!”

He quickly knew it was my high-pitched voice and then came back to me with that happy face.

We got back to the park and we went on, but when I woke this morning I kind of revisited some shelved questions:

What if you took the “wrong” path but then you felt okay along the way in spite of that, but just sometimes wondered if it would’ve been better if you had taken the other path? Like it was a feeling you couldn’t stop sometimes.

You know you’re happy with the situation where you get to choose a path that you’re more curious to walk along, but then — what if You Actually Screwed It Up??? but still feeling okay nonetheless. For now.

You know you can’t go back to choosing between the two (or more) paths, because you’ve chosen your path and you’re not that free to re-choose a new path. So all you gotta do is take a leap of faith, and improve & decorate that path.
