Family dinner: describe yourself in five words

Inspired by “The Most of Nora Ephron,” Nora Ephron recounted an intriguing activity that my family and I could actually try for our dinner game. She wrote in her book:

“We have a game we play when we’re waiting for tables in restaurants, where you have to write the five things that describe yourself on a piece of paper. When I was in [my twenties], I would have put: ambitious, Wellesly graduate, daughter, Democrat, single. Ten years later not one of those five things turned up on my list. I was: journalist, feminist, New Yorker, divorced, funny. Today not one of those things turn up in my list: writer, director, mother, sister, happy.”

We took turns answering the question: how would you describe yourself in five words?

My dad took the first turn and said, “precious, unswerving, passionate, blessing, doubtless”

And then, my mom said “serene, melancholic, loyal, picnic, reading”

My sister said “ambitious, perfectionist, moody, bubbly, talkative”

Mine was “daughter, startup, moody, observant, clown”

🍒 We didn’t stop there — we upped the game. We then took turns in describing each other. Here are the keywords each of us received 🍒

Dad: father, kind, heartwarming, leader, smart, impassive, ambitious, patient, hilarious, cutie pie, helpful.

Mom: beautiful, motherly, cool, loyal, elegant, tough, persistent, confident, eloquent, moody, chef, caring, coffee.

Kezia: beautiful, influencer, creative, LOL, diligent, persevering, skincare, noisy, easygoing, friendly, emotional, moody, smart.

Grace: graceful, smart, creative, moody, considerate, beautiful, appealing, chatty-cathy, visionary, mature, kind, branded, mature, clown, YouTube.

How would you describe yourself in five words? :)
