My mom was devotedly capturing some pictures of me multitasking (reading a book in the middle of a meeting) when I realized, I wore very short shorts. My mom has been very accepting of the way I dress — one day, I had a heart-to-heart with her and said “….so, I hope you’ll excuse these somewhat ‘revealing’ outfits I choose to show on my social media.” She laughed. I quickly made up an assumption that she understood that I’m still in my 20s and as long as I take care of my body and don’t color my hair, she’s fine with however I look.
She, on the other hand, wore a blue chiffon dress that was knee-length, covered with a denim jacket.
I notice how her style has been changing over the last two years, from kind of conservative to that very sense of playfulness — mixing flamboyant tank dresses with and without outers, square neck tops are some examples.
I wondered how likely it is that when our ideas or thoughts or feelings change, our style tweaks in too
